Updated Faye’s build with the update. This is also the build I run for Fractal 50, give or take a few trait changes depending on the situation.
Shouts are less effective, but still very good at removing conditions for you and party members. Warhorn is also traited to continue removing any additional conditions; boons help party members that may deal more damage or whatnot with them. In projectile situations, I carry along a sword for reflecting. Despite running berserker, Faye is rather tanky with her runes and shouts; it’s a fun compromise between the two.September 2, 2015 at 4:44 pm #1236

As someone that has been slowly falling for warrior ( maybe because my warrior is so adorable) , I wonder if forceful greatsword with phalanx strenght doesn’t end up giving better support , by killing the enemy instead of healing/removing condis.
On another note.. you have shield master equipped, without a shield? xDSeptember 2, 2015 at 5:15 pm #1238
I don’t enjoy playing the meta, which greatsword falls into. Phalanx strength also completely messes up the build by making shouts less useful.
It’s a pretty shitty trait line imo, because I’ve noticed Dogged March doesn’t seem to activate really at all, and I have enough condi clear in general. Cull the Weak is typically used, but in cases of reflecting projectiles for a few certain fractals, I will use Shield Master. When you’re the only one removing condis for the most part for a group, it’s very helpful. It also typically means Katu doesn’t have to run her guardian when she’s with me.September 2, 2015 at 5:20 pm #1239

Also a big Warrior fan. Yes, Forceful Greatsword and Phalanx Strength is the king of Party support, but you only technically ever need one Warrior running Phalanx Strength (Or one might-stacker in general, such as Engis or non-staff Eles) — this opens up a lot of possibilities in a multi-warrior Party (something which is very common as most people tend to have a Warrior character.)
You can definitely run Shield Master without Shield, provided you have at least one block skill (Sword off-hand, for example) or a Guardian in the party (As aegis counts as a block). I’d say Dogged March might still be a better option overall, but switching Warhorn to Shield(or Off-hand Sword, as mentioned) when Swiftness/Vigor is not as needed would make ‘switching’ traits a non-issue (as they require more menu clicks to be changed). Though you’d then be wasting the Warhorn trait, and you might want the Condi removal from that, I feel Soldier Runes are pretty effective on their own either way.
I agree, I tend not to follow the meta, but I do like to keep an eye on it. ;)
Hope this is insightful.

That’s the other thing–typically, if there is another warrior in the group (which there fairly often is), they’re often running Phalanx, Forceful Greatsword, and Empower Allies, which would mean our builds aren’t as effective or cooperative. We also often have an ele or engi present, given our repertoire of people that come for 50s.
I’d honestly be all for Dogged March if I ever noticed it working tbh.November 6, 2015 at 5:58 am #1897
